Sonam Tobgye, Ph.D. Postdoctoral Research Scholar, Teachers College, Columbia University
I am a science education researcher developing and testing frameworks that close the gap between what science teaching standards say and what actually happens in the classroom. My work centers on the Multi-Compartment Network Model of Teacher Education (MCNMTE) — a model I originated and empirically validated across research sites in the United States and Bhutan. Building on my professional background in disability services, I am now extending the model to integrate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and accessibility as a next line of research.
